ARL Radical Championship Round 1

Teams gets first run out, new livery reveal, debuts made and good team points earned over all to put us in the top 5 in the standings

The Apex Racing League kicked off this week at Suzuka, when the schedule was released all the drivers seemed anxious about the season opener being at an unfavoured track. We knew it wasn't going to be a favourite of ours, our aims for the race reflected this. Getting solid team points and finishing all three cars was the main aim. If you have ever driven the Radical SR8 you will understand that an hour long race is a tough task. Twenty five minute races are usually done in this car and even then the rear likes to try and overtake you.

“Getting solid team points and finishing all three cars was the main aim. If you have ever driven the Radical SR8 you will understand that an hour long race is a tough task. ”

The new Radical livery was out on track for the first time after being designed. We are all extremely happy with our paint work for this season. The radical join the garage along side the BMW GT3, Lamborghini GT3 and Formula 3 car.

Jack Reeve Debuts

Jack Reeve joined ZemRacing recently and immediately made his debut in the Radical. New driver, new livery plenty of excitement. Jack joins us after being recommended by current driver Aaron Smith. Jack has plenty of experience both in sim racing and karting.

He made a steady start to the race settling in to a position early and making sure he had his tyres up to temperature.

The race was a good indication for what we can expect to see from Jack in the future. He managed to bring home 60 points for the team and finished a respectful 7th. In a race where the field is extremely strong, first race nerves flying around this was a very good outing. Well done Jack.
