Two wins for our drivers as they look to have a strong end to the season! ZemRacing came out on top in race three!
Round 5 of the Apex Racing League Formula Vee was at Brands Hatch. Aaron Smith and Jack Reeve would be representing ZemRacing at the race day. Each round consists of three separate races. The first two races had incidents leaving our drivers needing a good third race. To say they delivered would be a understatement. Aaron would bring home the "Pro" class win and Jack would win the "Am" class. Both drivers earning a race win is fantastic for the team and also as individuals. We look to build on this success and use the confidence boost going into future rounds and other leagues.

Unfortunately we didn't have a Formula Vee livery ready in time for the race.
Race Review From Aaron Smith
Going into this weekend, Both Jack Reeve and Aaron Smith knew brands hatch would be a difficult race to do well in due to the vast amount of overtaking opportunities. With Aaron having 2 pitlane starts in race one and two he had a tough task at hand, whereas jack qualified a respectful p9.
Race one ended poorly for both drivers, jack crashing on lap 1 and Aaron losing control on the second to last lap. However things would only get better from here. Aaron starting from the pits in race two shot up the grid, at one point overtaking 3 drivers in 6 corners, Jack who was starting near the back was avoiding incidents and keeping it clean to come home p5 just behind Aaron in p4. Race three however would be the drivers dream, with Aaron finally out of the pits starting p7 and jack ahead in p6, things were
just about to get a whole lot better. Aaron got off to a poor start slipping back to p10 by turn one, a three car crash aloud him to grab back the positions he had lost, Jack kept a cool head going into turn 3 in 4th position. Things were relatively quiet for a few laps until the top 3 crashed coming out of turn five putting Aaron up to p2 and jack into p1. Aaron being quicker than jack, let him through and the teamwork began. Both drivers using each others slipstream to pull away from the cars behind, they cruised to a p1 and p2 finish with Aaron winning overall and Jack winning in class.
